Privacy Policy
Effective date: January 28, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Resumely (the “Service”, “we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use resumely.co. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Resumely is a free resume builder. You do not need a credit card to create, edit, preview, or download your resume.
1) Information we collect
- Account & contact info: email address and other details you choose to provide, such as your name.
- Resume content: information you enter into the editor, such as work history, education, skills, summary, projects, and other resume sections.
- Uploaded files: if you upload an existing resume, we may process that file so you can edit, improve, or reuse its content inside the Service.
- Usage data: pages you visit, actions you take, device and browser information, approximate location derived from IP address, and log data used for security, debugging, and improving the Service.
- Cookies & similar technologies: used to keep you signed in, remember preferences, protect your session, and understand usage patterns.
2) How we use your information
- Provide and operate the Service, including creating, editing, previewing, and exporting resumes.
- Authenticate you, keep your account secure, and prevent abuse or fraud.
- Save your resume drafts and allow you to return to them later.
- Improve the Service, fix bugs, monitor performance, and develop new features.
- Communicate with you about support, account access, security, and important Service updates.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We may use aggregated or de-identified data — data that cannot reasonably identify you — for analytics and to improve the Service.
3) How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only in these situations:
- Service providers: hosting, database, analytics, authentication, email, support, storage, and security providers. They are allowed to use data only to provide services to us.
- Legal & safety: if required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the Service, or others.
- Business changes: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
4) No credit card required
Resumely does not require you to enter payment card information to create, edit, preview, or download a resume. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and clearly explain what payment data is processed and by whom.
5) Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to enable core features like login, session security, saved preferences, and basic analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, some features may not work properly.
6) Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain your account, save your resume drafts, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account information, subject to legal and operational requirements.
7) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8) Your choices and rights
- Access, update, or correct certain information in your account where available.
- Edit or delete resume content from your account where available.

9) International data transfers
We may process and store information in countries different from where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws. When we transfer information, we take steps to protect it in line with applicable requirements.
10) Children’s privacy
